Night Shift - continued

Jeff's runaway kid came back: 24 hours later. They managed to hold him this time and he's off to the psych hospital.

At about the same time Jeff was wrestling with the runaway last night, a gentleman in Boulder was placing a tight, thick spring on his unit. (Presumably for fun). It was apparently easier to get on than off, as he showed up tonight on my shift, swollen and greatly distressed.

We broke a 3' pair of the firefighter's bolt cutters in trying to remove it (the spring, not the unit...). We successfully freed Willy with the pneumatic grinder that is normally used to cut people out of wrecked cars.

After all that, it's time for a donught from the lounge, though a jelly-filled kruller may be a bit too much to handle right now....
